Consultation has concluded
Caerphilly Homes needs your help again with its Autumn 2024 Your Rent – Your View survey.
We need your help. We want tenants (contract holders) to give us their views on whether they think their rent is fair and affordable. We also want to know more about how the cost of living is affecting tenants.
Your views are really important to us. The feedback will be used by the Council when deciding on rent charges for 2025/ 26 and to understand how we can help tenants in the future.
Tenants are asked to give their views by completing a brief online survey. Paper copies can be made available on request.
This survey is available in Welsh. It is available in other languages and formats on request. We can also complete the survey over the telephone with you.
Every tenant who enters and provides their contact details will be entered into a prize draw – there’s £150 for one lucky winner and 3 more will win £60 in shopping vouchers
The survey will end on 30 September 2024
Why are we consulting?
The Housing (Wales) Act 2014, specifies that all Local Housing Authorities in Wales must comply with the Social Housing Rent and Service Charge Standard, rules and guidance.
As a result, affordability for tenants must take into account the whole cost of living in a property e.g. rent, service charges and energy costs of properties, and landlords are expected to consider these costs when setting rents each year.
To demonstrate compliance with the Standard, assurance is required in the following areas as a minimum: Effective tenant engagement and consultation including the methodology and outcome/response.
