Overview
We are seeking your views on a proposed Natural Flood Management Scheme (NFM) at Nant Hafod Tudor, Wattsville. The design involves removing an existing culvert (pipe) structure and opening up the watercourse to improve flood resilience in the area and restore the watercourse to a more natural condition. As part of this work, an unregistered footpath that currently provides access to a green space will be permanently closed. To maintain access, we are proposing to upgrade an alternative unregistered footpath from the Wattsville Community Group Sports Ground Pavilion to the same green space. Whereas the current route has steps, the alternative route has no steps and so provides improved accessibility for all users.
Why are we consulting
We want to ensure that local residents and stakeholders have the opportunity to comment on the proposed changes. Your feedback will help us understand any concerns and ensure that the final design meets the needs of the community while delivering effective flood mitigation.
This survey is available in both Welsh and English. It is available in other languages and formats on request.
Expected outcomes
We will review all feedback received and use it to inform the final design. A summary of the consultation findings and next steps will be published on this page.
