Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) Caerphilly Interchange Redevelopment
Grimshaw Architects have been commissioned by Caerphilly County Borough Council and Transport for Wales to undertake pre-application consultation in respect of the redevelopment of Caerphilly Station, Cardiff Road, Caerphilly, Wales, CF83 1JR
We give notice that Caerphilly Borough Council and Transport for Wales are intending to submit a full planning application for the following development:
Proposed demolition and redevelopment of Caerphilly Station to create a new integrated and accessible transport interchange building which seamlessly connects rail, bus, taxi and active travel transport modes. Including the increase of bus stands from 11 to 12, and bus layover bays from 3 to 4. Alongside new public conveniences, active travel hub and retail facilities.
Why are we consulting?
Prior to formal submission to the Local Planning Authority and in accordance with the requirements set out in Part 1A of the Town & Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Wales) Order 2012 (as amended), the proposal is subject to pre-application consultation.
All relevant drawings, reports and supplementary supporting documents are made available for inspection and review online below and at Llyfrgell Caerphilly Library as a physical copy for review.

Expected outcomes
The results of this Pre-Application Consultation will be incorporated into the upcoming Full Planning Application in the form of the Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) Report.
